Biography:
Colin Cameron is the founder of Profits for Partners, Management Consulting Inc. Colin has been advising professional service firms for more than 25 years and led a law firm to become one of the most profitable firms in British Columbia. Early in his career, Colin worked as a Chartered Accountant in public practice with Thorne Riddell, a predecessor firm to KPMG. He advised a variety of companies in various industries, providing audit, tax and technology consulting advice. Following his time with Thorne Riddell, Colin was Chief Operating Officer of Clark Wilson LLP, a major Vancouver law firm with 85 lawyers and more than 150 staff. Colin facilitated the creation of several firm strategic and financial plans which resulted in Clark Wilson LLP becoming one of the most profitable law firms in Vancouver. As a key advisor, he worked closely with the firm’s Managing Partner and all major firm committees. With a focus on profitability, he streamlined the firm’s operations and governance and implemented a new partner compensation structure. In doing so, he demonstrated an in-depth understanding and appreciation of the firm’s culture and its acceptance for change and improvement. Colin also built and led a powerhouse administrative management team, oversaw the adoption of leading edge technology and steered all financial and administrative operations of the firm. Colin established Profits for Partners in May, 2009.
